I am done with making Kimono! the process has so many steps. It is continues of cutting, and sowing, and pressing...but I enjoyed it with my favourite music!

I am thinking which colour of OBI is the most suitable...
(Obi is like ribbon and that tie Kimono.)

This is nice fabric but it's not match to Kimono...

Yesss! I found in e-bay!

I had no knowledge of how to tie Obi, therefore I researched it.

I like this way to tie Obi because it looks like  food

I researched some ways to tie Obi, however, I am not going to show them maybe, because I want to display flow.  Looking forward to seeing my work!

making Kimono

I will make Kimono!

This is the first experimentation with new fabrics. I also play with fabric and tried to look like dress with Japanese pattern.

I am so exciting to make Kimono, because I have never made cloth with cutting paper, so it will be proper cloth not messy;p

Cloth House London

I went to Cloth House London! This shop is amazing! There are a loto of Japanese clothe! ( not fake, these were imported from Japan!)

And there are lots of kinds of clothes such as tweed, cotton, jeans, plastic, Japanese, and lots lots more!

There are also many ribbons with needle working, and buttons.

That was amusement park for me x)

I'd like attach some pictures...

 I want to go there every day...<3<3

and I bought these clothes and ribbon attached below...

It was ￡１８８　total...!!! so expensive! but it was really fun and I had lovely time! I will do my best with these clothes for my Final Major Project!

For final Project

I made Kimono for practice in easy way( this is not actually traditional way to make Kimono)

I researched about how to make Kimono, and there are many websites for making Kimono, but it was very complicated and difficult to create for me.

Finally, I found the website to make Kimono for cosplayer. I was very happy to find it and at the same time, I was surprised at cosplayer because they usually making these clothes!

Even tough it is not perfect, I've done making Kimono!

I have to apologize that I made mannequin to wear for death people! :((

I am so sorry about that. 

In Japan, If right Gum is on the left one, it would be for death person. therefore, normally, we wear left gum is on the right one. 

 I will not use this for my final project nor 'Kimono' I will arrange Kimono somehow contemporary.

It express butterfly by fashion.  I researched about Hussein Chalayan, Alexander Mcqeen, and some more artists.

Mirror Project

Long time to see you!!

After busy Christmas Holiday, to catch up other students, I made 'Paper Dress'

I thought 'MIRROR' is to reflect something. Therefore, my 'mirror'  is the dress reflect Japan.

I wrote Japanese Myth about God of Sun.

One day, Japanese Emperor said that the myth each
country have reflect their culture, thinking, and country.

This is my outcome of Mirror project

The shoulder shows Sun's layer like below

This picture was drawn about this myth. 

 And the words written on paper is about myth of Sun's God. The overall concept is Kimono. 

The part of skirt represent ancient letter form and also fan. 

As you can see, there are some paintings on the words. These shows four seasons in Japan.
