First, I saw the advertisement of BIG EYES, I thought it was horror movie. And I thought the children were creepy. When I was in the airplane that bound to London, I could watch some movies. One of that movies, there are BIG EYES. But I didn't watch it, because it was scary.
I didn't know BIG EYES is not horror movie until I watch the movie in cinema afternoon.
BIG EYES is a movie of artist based on true story. I was so impressed by this movie. Because the weak woman became strong. I could understand her weakness, so I emphasized with her. I almost shed tears.
I want to be a strong woman like her and get over problems with friends. In order to be so, I should open my mind and rely on friends. I tend to do something alone. I think it is not good.

Interactive, craft, graphic, stop-motion and advertiseing
The work which caught my heart is “Creativity starts with a
pen.” It was made by Japanese girl, Nana Aoki. This was a stop-motion video
work. According to her description, the aim of her advertise is to make the
target audience.

| She made poster of her work |
She made also interactive work. This was hanged on the wall,
and audience write their “drawing” means to them in pot-it, and put that paper.
The reason why I like this work the most is I like stop-motion video. It is
able to mix impossible thing as if there are magic or another world. Her work
mixed our life; using a smart phone, but it is not just things. Please watch
the video↓↓

She use the software “Dragon Flame” to shoot a video. It
took about 3 weeks to finish her work. Her video was so interesting, and
heart-warming story. Then, I asked her “what was difficulty of your work?” She said
that she had to write script of her work before taking a video. And she wrote 7
story line until she was satisfied.
I mentioned only one work, but I like all of works. Each works
has meanings, and thinking of artists. I wanted to listen all stories in the
exhibition. I had really good time and proud of going to have same education as
them.

To be eco-friendly
I watched TED Talk: Building the Seed Cathedral by Thomas Heatherwick. I was moved his work and became his fan. When I saw the picture of the Seed Cathedral for the first time, actually I could not understand what it is.
Then, I watched TED Talk, saw lots of his work, and I was surprised by his architecture. Because those are not usually building, but modern, and unique building. It is the most favorite his work for me "The Rolling Bridge." This knocked my common sense totally over.

I think the connection between aesthetic design and eco-friendly implication can change the world. This is because, people will be interested in aesthetic building first, and if it is eco-friendly, people will think it more interesting. Now that, many people do SNS, so people can share his idea and picture of his architecture easily. So the world will became more eco-friendly world.

Contrast of the Design Museum and The British Museum
I went to the Design Museum and to the British Museum last Friday. Firstly, I saw the outside of the Design Museum. I thought that it is modern building and there is no traditions. There are white wall, some windows and logo of the name. I thought it is so simple that I feel sad.

After the Design Museum, I went to the British Museum. I have been to this museum 3 years ago, but I was moved by its solemnity. This museum has a very detailed sculpture on the wall and many pillars. In other words, this is a traditional building.

I like both of Exhibitions, but speaking about appearance, I prefer The British Museum to the Design Museum. This is because, I like traditions and cultural things. Moreover, appearance Design Museum is too simple to feel anything.

MAKERS
Firstly, I was surprised to watch the video. This is
because, a little girl uses soldering iron, and making something like adults do
in the movie. Then, I thought that making things don’t care about their age,
gender, or country. We can make anything!
Generally, they say, Japanese culture is “improve culture.”
Japanese people make things improve, but does not innovate. When I heard that,
I was surprised, because I thought that Japanese people innovated many things.
However, actually, there are a lot of things ‘improved’ by Japanese. For
example, camera, jeans, soy sauce, ramen, and so on. Sometimes, Japanese
‘improved’ things are more popular than original one. But I think that we
(Japanese people) should be more creative. Japanese people are basically late
crop. So we have to be more active, and positive to innovate like industry
revolution. Because we are maker! “We don’t need huge lab.”

Project 3
Through the project 3, I had many experiences. I realized how difficult, and fun to work with others. This is because we are totally different; thinking, idea, and so on. We had a lot of discussion everyday. Our concept and Methodology are every time changed, and we were so confused. But finally, we can decide our concept with some lovely tutor's advice. It was also interesting for me to share different ideas. I could broad my horizon.
I have never thought about freedom deeply, because I have lots of freedom already, so I did not realize how many freedom we have.
I could also know some artists through this project. I do not know about artists well, so I am happy to know some artists who have strong belief. I am interested more about modern artists. And I found that I can show my belief and opinion with arts.
